Playwriting Contest Revised

year: The age limitations have been lifted, the requirement to
direct your show has been lifted, the cost has been removed and it is now
allowable to use adaptations of public domain works. (Get
all the details...) |
Our First Online Playwriting Workshop is Successfully Underway
As was mentioned in the August newsletter, we are holding our first
ever online workshop...this year featuring our Destination: Playwriting
Workshop.
This year's workshop has three participants who, with the instructor,
meet online weekly to work through the creation of a dramatic work.

A Destination Wedding
Congratulations to John Christian and Janet Smith who were married on
October 4th, 2008 at West County Assembly of God. John has
appeared in Tilly as the pastor, the 2008 One Act Competition in
several roles and in A Christmas Carol as Charles Dickens,
Fezziwig and the Spirit of Christmas Yet to Come. Janet appeared
in A Christmas Carol as one of the Solicitors and the Maid but
has also helped with costumes on nearly all of our productions.
What makes their wedding so special to us here? First of all,
Janet is my (Allen Moore) mother-in-law. Secondly, they met during
rehearsals of Tilly and their relationship grew during rehearsals
for the 2008 One Act Competition and A Christmas Carol.
See a blog entry about their honeymoon at the Creation Museum
here (about halfway down the page). |
