Next Season is in the Final Planning Stages
We are in the final stages of planning our 2009 Season featuring our
3rd annual One-Act Competition and Dessert Auction in the spring and our
3rd annual dinner theatre production in the summer.
This year's One Act Competition will include several original plays
and, as such, a new voting category for Best New Play in addition to the
Best Production, Best Actor/Actress, Best Supporting Actor/Actress and
Best Director. Make plans now to audition for this exciting night
of performances. We should have the dates for this exciting event
available in the December 2008 Newsletter.
The One Act Competition is a great way for those of you who have not
participated with DTC in the past to get some experience in a
lower-pressure production. The One Acts rehearse for about 4
weeks, once to twice a week, and then have a single performance night in
a relaxed setting. This allows performers to see the process
without committing 6-8 weeks in the rehearsals followed by multiple
performances.
We are in the final decision phase of choosing our production for
next Summer's dinner theatre production. You subscribers to the
newsletter will be the first to hear the news when the production is
finalized!
