2008 Year-In-Review
Our Productions
The 2008 theatrical year has been a busy one for us here at DTC.
Like in 2007, we had three productions in 2009 as well. We started
out in January with our most important show yet in our production of the
moving adaptation of Frank Peretti's novel Tilly. (read

Finally, in July, we had our second annual dinner theatre production

2008 Year-In-Review
Our People
In addition to being a busy year with our production schedule, we
have also welcomed many new people to our casts.
January's production of Tilly has a cast and crew of 22 with 5
of them in their DTC debut. On the other side of the footlights,
we also had many first-time DTC audience members come to see those
performances.
Our second annual dinner theatre production in March included 23
between the cast members and directors...8 of them were new to the
theatre company.
Finally, our second annual dinner theatre production of A
Christmas Carol featured a total of 32 people involved in the cast,
crew and orchestra. Of those 32, thirteen of them were in their
first production with Destination Theatre Company. |
2009 Season is in the Final Planning Stages
This year looks to be another great one. We start off the year
in March with our third annual One-Act Competition and Dessert Auction.
This year, for the first time, we will also have a new play category as
part of our new play contest. We have had 7 short plays submitted
for use in our One-Act Competition this year. The plays were
written by 6 different playwrights with very different themes and
stories. Full information will be online by the end of January and
distributed in the February Newsletter but mark your calendars now for
the auditions on February 16th and 19th and the performance on March
27th, 2009. Both the auditions and the performance will be at West
County Assembly of God in Chesterfield.
We also have chosen our production for our
third annual Dinner Theatre Production. This year's Mainstage
production is our fifth
summer production and our 10th production overall. Our production
this summer will be J.B. A Play in Verse by Archibald MacLeish.
In this Pulitzer Prize-winning poetic drama, Archibald MacLeish has
fashioned a tense and powerful retelling of the Biblical story of Job.

Don't Forget Your Tax-Deductible Donations!
Did you know that less than 70% of DTC's budget is met through the
ticket sales for our productions? We rely on your tax-deductible
donations to meet the remainder of the expenses for our productions
throughout the year. Whether or not you have already made a
donation this year, consider making one prior to December 31st to ensure
proper credit for this year. Donations can be made by mail or
through our website. You can also make a donation by clicking the
button to the left. Donations of any amount are appreciated. |

With our fourth season comes all of the opportunities to become a
donor, advertiser or sponsor of Destination Theatre Company.
Donors receive discounted tickets for all performances for one year
after making a donation.
Advertising rates are reasonable for program, e-newsletter and
web-based advertising.
Sponsors receive prominent program AND web-based advertisements as well
as complimentary and discounted tickets for productions.
