J.B. is Coming Up!

Our third annual Dinner Theatre production is set for July 20-25.  This year's production is J.B.-a Play in Verse by Archibald MacLeish.

Auditions for the production will be held May 18th and 21st at West County Assembly of God in Chesterfield.  Roles available for up to 41 performers, kids to adults.

2009 One Acts Successful

Thanks to everyone who made them a success.

On March 27th, we held our third annual One Act Competition and Dessert Auction.

Seven original plays!  Six different playwrights!  20 Performers playing more than 50 roles!  Twenty-Four Desserts!  All totaled up to a great evening of theatre and desserts!

The seven plays (this time with their playwrights) were:

The Dancing Aktuzies and the Staff of Moses by Dale and Abraham Ward.

The Taunter's Defeat by John Christian

A Shakespearean Murder Mystery by Allen Moore

A Hellish Vision by John Christian

The Challenge by Brad Lafferty

Today's Good Samaritan by John Christian

If Jesus Held a Press Conference by Forrest Thrasher

Winners of the audience vote were Jenna Lafferty for Best Actress, Levi Farr for Best Actor, A Hellish Vision for Best Performance and The Challenge for Best Script.

Get your reduced price tickets now!

With our dinner theatre coming up, we've got reduced priced tickets for a limited time!

The production will run July 20-25, 2009.  Monday and Tuesday, July 20th and 21st at 7:30pm will include Popcorn.  Drinks and some limited concessions will be available for purchase.  Thursday and Friday, July 23rd and 24th at 6:30pm will include a full dinner.  Complete menu will be available when finalized.  Saturday, July 25th at 10:00an will include a full brunch.  Complete menu will be available when finalized.

Regular price for the Popcorn nights are $7 per ticket or $50 for a table of 8.  Regular price for the Dinner and Brunch performances are $20 per ticket or $140 for a table of 8. 

However, until the end of April, you can get tickets for the Popcorn nights for only $6 each or $40 for a table of 8.  Also until the end of April, you can get tickets for the dinner or brunch performances for $16 each or $120 for a table of 8.

Not sure when you can attend?  You can still get the reduced prices by paying now!  We will issue a ticket voucher which can be exchanged for date-specific tickets in June or July when you can better determine the best time to come.

Finally, you can also get gift certificates in any amount for you or a loved one.  Gift certificates never expire and there are never any fees.

Sponsorships Available

With our new season comes great opportunities to support the theatre company.

One great way for companies to help us is through our sponsorship opportunities.

Sponsorships range from a web-page sponsorship for $250 to a full-show sponsorship for $2,500.  All sponsors receive advertising space in the program for the sponsored production and on our website for a full year.  Sponsors also receive complementary tickets to one of our shows.  Ad size and location and number of tickets vary depending on the level of sponsorship taken.

In-kind payments for sponsorships can also be arranged.

Donations needed

Did you know that less than 60% of our income comes from ticket sales?  We make up the rest of our production expenses through the donations of our supporters.

Destination Theatre Company is an IRS approved 501(c)3 charity and donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the current Tax Law.

Donors of at least $50 are recognized and receive discounts of up to 35% on ticket purchases to our productions.
