2007 Year-End Review
Finances
As with our productions and our people involvement, 2007
was a great year financially for the theatre too. More than 2/3 of our income
since our inception (in 2005) has come in the last year. Of course,
with the expanded schedule and casts, more than 2/3 of our expenses have
also come in the last year. It is through the generosity of our
audience members, donors, advertisers and sponsors that we are able to
continue to bring professional-caliber theatrical productions to the St.
Louis area.
The following specifics are based on our last fiscal year
which ended August 31, 2007. Of our $9,000 in total ticket sales
almost $7,000 has come in the last fiscal year; of our $4,300 in total
donations, approximately $1,800 has come in the last fiscal year; and of
our total income of about $15,000, more than $10,000 has come in the last
fiscal year. On the flip side of the ledger, of our approximately
$14,000 in total expenses, approximately $9,400 has come in the last
fiscal year. Many of those expenses were tied to our large
production of Charlotte's Web for which we had to build a stage,
purchase additional lighting equipment and purchase the food for the
dinner.
While our income continues to grow, don't let that deter
you from committing your support for the theatre in the coming year.
It is through our donations, advertisers and sponsors that we can continue
to make our productions better through the years.
In August, we set out on our most ambitious season
yet...three mainstage productions (Winnie the Pooh, Tilly
and A Christmas Carol) and our Second Annual One-Act Competition
and Dessert Auction. You can help make 2008 as excellent as 2007
through your donations and participation.
Thank you all for your continued support of this
organization. It is only through your support that we can continue
to create professional-caliber theatrical productions for the whole
family.
