Vocal Director

A conductor and those under him/her, including the Vocal Director, are usually only used in a musical production.

The Vocal Director of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) They are responsible for everything related to the vocal music in a production...including the soloists and chorus members.

2)  They run all of the vocal music rehearsals.

3) They are hired by either the director, producer or conductor and report directly to the conductor.

4)  They are usually paid by means of a salary.
