Sound Technician
The sound technician(s) of a performance have the
following responsibilities.
1) The sound technician implements all of the sound
effects, sound reinforcement and house music for the production as set out
by the sound engineer.
2) They are hired by either the director, producer or
sound engineer and report directly to the sound engineer.
3) They are usually paid either hourly or based on a
salary.
4) They are responsible for setting up microphones
as needed, running the sound board and sometimes creating the desired
sound effects for the production.
