Publicist

The Publicist (or publicity crew) of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) They are in charge of creating all of the posters, programs, flyers, media advertisements, press releases and any other means of advertising for the performances.

2) They are hired directly by the producer or business manager and report directly to the business manager.

3)  They are usually paid by means of a salary.

Sometimes the producer or business manager will hire an outside publicity firm to create and implement the publicity plan for a production.
