Property Master

The property master of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) They must determine, with the input of the cast, director and stage manager, what properties (i.e. props) must be created, borrowed or purchased for the production.

2)  They assign props to the property crew to be created or acquired.

3) They are hired by either the director, producer or stage manager.  They report directly to the stage manager and director.

4)  They are usually paid either by contract or salary.
