Wardrobe Master

The wardrobe master (also known as the costume master) of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) They must determine, with the input of the cast, director and stage manager, what costumes must be created, borrowed or purchased for the production.

2)  They assign costume pieces to the various costume crews to be created or acquired.

3) They are hired by either the director, producer or stage manager.  They report directly to the stage manager and director.

4)  They are usually paid either by contract or salary.
