Set Designer
The set designer of a performance has the following
responsibilities.
1) The set designer designs all of the sets and scene
changes for the production.
2) They are hired by either the director or producer and
report directly to the director or assistant director.
3) They are usually paid based on a contract.
4) They must know a great deal about how sets are
built, how to create quick and efficient scene changes and must
work closely with the director to help re-create the director's vision of
the production through color and architecture.
