Cosmetologist

The cosmetologist of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) The cosmetologist designs all of the hair and makeup effects for the production.

2) They are hired by either the director or producer and report directly to the director or assistant director.

3)  They are usually paid based on a contract.

4)  They create color renderings of the actors faces and heads detailing all of the makeup and hair changes that must be made to the actor for their accurate portrayal of the character.
