Choreographer

A conductor and those under him/her, including the choreographer, are usually only used in a music production.

The choreographer of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) They design and teach all of the choreography to the dancers in the production

2) They are hired by either the director or producer and report directly to the director or conductor.

3)  They are usually paid by way of a contract.

Choreographers for new Broadway musicals will often have a clause in their contract which will give them credit in all subsequent performances of the show.
