Conductor

A conductor and those under him/her are usually only used in a musical production.

The conductor of a performance has the following responsibilities.

1) They are responsible for everything related to the music in a production...including the singers, dancers and musicians..

2) They are hired by either the director or producer and report directly to the director or assistant director.

3)  They are usually paid by means of a salary.  However, they also will sometimes earn a percentage of the gross proceeds on top of the salary.
