Tilly
by Henry O. Arnold
Tilly was presented on January 17-20, 2008 at West
County Assembly of God.
Destination Theatre Company presented this stirring stage
adaptation of the novel by Frank E. Peretti. Due to the intense
theme, this play is not recommended for children under the age of 12.
A testimony to the healing and grace that God offers to
us--even grace to cover our darkest and worst choices--is what the story
of Tilly is all about. In this touching play we meet a cast
of characters grappling with the devastation of abortion and the
reconciliation that comes through God's mercy and forgiveness.
Adapted from Frank Peretti's novel of the same title, the production
addresses this tough subject in powerful and restoring ways.
Meet the Cast
This incredible story prompted many audience members to
contact the theatre company or its members with their own stories of
dealing with abortion. The most frequent subject of comments was
that of the stirring score by Jonathan Gathman. Even among the
cast members it became like an additional character in the play,
contributing to the overall feel of the production through its melodies
and arrangements.
