Brad
Lafferty in the 2009 Dinner Theatre Production of
J.B.--Brad is from Saint Louis,
Missouri, and now lives in Saint Charles with his wife and two
children. He works for General Motors where he is a Chaplain for UAW
Local 2250. He is also a member of Grace Baptist Church where he sings in
the choir and speaks in the Nursing Home Ministry and is currently
seeking a Master's degree in Church Ministry from Baptist Bible College in
Springfield, MO.
Brad would love to tell you that he has had a lifelong passion for the
theatre (because that would make for riveting reading), but, truth be
told, prior to his DTC experience, he's been in three plays and, at best, a half-dozen youth group
skits in his whole life. In
fact, if his daughter wasn't studying theatre, he probably wouldn't go to
too many plays, either. He's not here to be a part of the
sales department. What he is here for is this...anytime anyone is
willing to commit themselves to engaging our culture in the name of
Christ, he's behind them. He says, for too long we Christians have sat idly by
while others have taken the arts away from their original purpose...to
praise and glorify God. He believes this world needs, more than ever,
people willing to step out, in faith, and proclaim the goodness and
majesty of God to a lost and dying world, and that the theatre is a very
good place to start. Our God is a creator...let us also be creative
as we worship Him. His DTC production experience consists of playing
Doc in If the Good Lord's Willing and the Creek Don't Rise,
directing The Conference in the 2007 One-Act Competition,
playing the doctor in Samuel and Dinah also in the 2007 One-Act
Competition, playing the doctor in our production of
Charlotte's Web and directorial and (non-speaking) acting roles
in the 2009 One Act Competition
where his play The Challenge won best original play.
Brad also worked backstage for our productions of
Tilly and
A Christmas Carol. |

|
Jenna Lafferty in the 2009 One Act Competition--Jenna,
who won Best Actress honors in the 2009 One Act Competition, is a 15-year-old sophomore in high
school this year, and is taking some classes at Missouri Baptist
University. She has been studying Musical Theatre and dance
for over 10 years. She has been involved with DTC for over
three-and-a-half years now. Her first show with DTC was
If
the Good Lord's Willing and the Creek Don't Rise. She
has also choreographed
Charlotte's Web-The Musical and
Tilly, in which she was also the
featured dance, with DTC so far. Her
favorite roles have been Doreen in ...Good Lord's Willing...
with DTC, Lucy in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown with
Dayspring School of the Arts, Chave in Fiddler on the Roof
and the Cuban dancer in Guys and Dolls with Alton Little
Theatre to name a few. Her dream is to grow up and act and
dance on Broadway and teach performing arts classes. She
loves being with her friends, family and Mike, shopping and
spending time on the computer. She loes singing and is now
in Encounter in Alton, Illinois. She thanks God for
her talents and for many opportunities to use them. |

|
Stacey
Lafferty in the 2009 One Act Play Competition--Stacey participated in a few high school and
college skits but has been involved in theater mostly as a
"mom" helping out backstage, props, costumes and
scenery. She has just recently been bitten by the acting bug. She
played Anita in DTC's production of
Tilly, "Janet"-the crazy lady with the rake, in Autumn
Leaves for Destination’s 2007 One Act Play Competition (for
which she won best actress) and several roles in the
2008 One Act Competition where she also
won best actress honors. She worked behind the scenes at Alton
Little Theater last summer where she learned a lot about what to
do, and not to do in the theater world.
She is a graduate of UM-St. Louis, with a degree in Elementary
Education. Her family lives in St. Charles where they attend Grace
Baptist Church. She and her husband home-school their two
wonderful children, Andrew, 17 and Jenna, 15. She also teaches
enrichment classes to groups of home-school students. Much of her
time is spent just being a mom, something she enjoys immeasurably.
The arts are one of the ways she sees God's creativity, and
that is why she wants to be involved with this group of talented
people and their pursuit to place God back where He belongs...in
the middle of the theatre as well as all areas of life. |

|
Audrey Lipsmire in the
2009 One Act Competition--Audrey
is in her fourth DTC production having also appeared in
Charlotte's Web the
Musical, Winnie the Pooh and
Tilly. She's very excited to be with them
again. She was
also in a few school plays and have been an extra in two movies.
She is 12 years old and in the 7th grade in the Northwest R-1 school
district. In her free time, Audrey enjoys playing the drums,
soccer and hanging out with her friends. |

|

Martin as the second Soldier, Reporter, Police Officer and Civil
Defense Officer and Zophar in the 2009 Dinner Theatre Production of

at his church for many years. The last 10 years, he has also
been doing community theatre, mainly in Crestwood. He has
been in over a dozen shows, many performing beside his son or
daughter and occasionally his wife. Each part has been great
but some of his favorites were Reuben in Joseph and the Amazing
Technicolor Dreamcoat, Jerry in George M! and the
mysterious man in Into the Woods. He has enjoyed
working with DTC because of the spiritual bond between them. In real life
he has his own actuarial consulting practice. His hobbies include scuba
diving and raising seahorses. He gives thanks to the Lord for "I can do
all things through Him." He want to especially thank his wife, Leah, for
putting up with the crazy rehearsal schedules. Ray's DTC experience

|
Addie
Trippeer as a child in the 2008 production of
Tilly--Addie is 9 years old and learns at home with her
sister and mom where her favorite subject is spelling. Last
summer's Charlotte's
Web was her DTC debut but she has already had one year of
experience singing with the St. Louis Children's Choir. Addie is
a Brownie Girl Scout, attends Bible Study Fellowship with her daddy
and swims for the Hazelwood Sharks. She loves horses, High
School Musical, chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, hanging out
with girlfriends and all things blue and sparkly! However, her
greatest passion is for art. She spends 2-3 hours a day using
her God-given talent making all kinds of creations. She will
even have some of her art displayed at the Artist's Guild this
summer. When she grows up, Addie hopes to be an artist and a
babysitter. |

religious art. Her depiction of Good Friday was displayed at the
Artist's Guild last summer. When she grows up, Emma plans to be a baker
and a professional dancer. |

|
Rich
Trippeer as John Arable in the 2007 Dinner Theatre production of
Charlotte's Web-The Musical--Rich is no stranger to the theatre. He starred in
many church plays as a young boy and was in the cast of The Shadow
Box, Dreamgirls and Uptown, Downtown at University
City High School. In fact, it was during a Maundy Thursday play,
while playing Jesus, that he understood the truth of the Gospel and
received Christ as his Savior. He has also had a variety of
singing experiences from praise bands to the St. Louis Symphony
Chorus. Though school, work and fatherhood have kept him quite
busy in recent years, Rich is glad to be back on the stage, taking
part in his daughters' debut show. Rich's day job is in
Information Services at Stephen Ministries. He also does
computer repair and web design on the side. In his free time,
Rich enjoys archery, hunting, bow-making and spending time with his
family. Rich also helped us backstage for our production of
Tilly. |

|
John Wilson as
Pastor Taylor in the 2008 production of
Tilly--is the founding pastor of West County Assembly of
God where he served as senior pastor for 38 years prior to retiring

stage experience. Tilly is John's only DTC
