Charlotte's Web--The Musical

We finished out 2007 season with this great musical adaptaion of this children's classic.  Charlotte's Web-The Musical adapted by Joseph Robinette with music by Charles Strouse is a wonderful re-telling of this timeless tale of friendship and devotion.

Audience Members' opinions:

"We so much enjoyed the performance of Charlotte's Web on Thursday evening.  The dinner was well done, the play was entertaining and we met new people we had never met before.  You give a wonderful opportunity to interested new actors and actresses.  I loved the adult performers.  Yes, children are fun and must be encouraged to discover their gifts but, the adults had a venue to express their gifts."--John Wilson, Pastor Emeritus, West County Assembly of God who attended with his wife Connie..

"My granddaughters and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening!  The dinner was lovely and the play was enchanting!...If possible, please let the benefactor know how blessed we were to enjoy the evening!"--One  who attended with her granddaughters because of the generosity of a donor.

Meet the Cast!

With this, our third mainstage, production we made some great firsts for the theatre.

First of all, we moved to the gymnasium at West County Assembly of God. This gave us plenty of room for as big a set as we could build and ample space for audience seating.

Secondly, in conjunction with our first musical, we also put on our first dinner theatre production.  Weekday performances included a full dinner of Fried Chicken, Mashed Potatoes, Green Beans, Biscuits, Apple Pie, Coffee and Tea.  The Saturday performances included a full breakfast of Pancakes, Bacon, Mixed Fruit, Coffee, Orange Juice and Milk.

Thirdly, All of these improvements translated into our most successful production yet with two of the five performances resulting in complete sell-outs and the other three all more than 90% full.
