The Diary of Anne Frank

These are the cast biographies used in the program for the performances.

Casey Chapman (Mr. Kraler)—is proud to be a part of DTC’s inaugural production. Casey runs volleyball leagues, is married (for a few months) to Jodi and has also involved in many community productions including plays and musicals.

Peter Gienke (Peter Van Daan)—is the son of Todd and LeeAnn Gienke. He is a 6th grader at Whitfield School. Peter enjoys drawing and listening to music. His other drama experience includes with Act II Theatre Company and Eagle Learning Center drama productions.

Samantha Gienke (Anne Frank)—is the daughter of Todd and LeeAnn Gienke. She is home-schooled and in the 5th grade. Samatha’s hobbies include swimming, volleyball, writing stories and tap-dancing. Samantha’s other theatrical experience includes participation in Act II Plays and Eagle Learning Center Drama Productions. Samantha’s worst memory from rehearsals was when Peter had to kiss her but her best memory was when she got to faint on stage.

Amy Maender (Mrs. Van Daan)—is an occupational therapist at Shriner’s Hospitals for Children. Her hobbies include singing, children’s ministry and time with her husband Michael. Amy’s favorite memories from rehearsals include the jokes like "the green cat" and the kids that kept it light and blessed. Amy’s other theatrical experience includes George M, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Footloose at Bravo Theatre Group.

Suzanne McGinnis (Mrs. Frank)—has the official title of "CEO of the McGinnis Family" as she and her husband Dave raise their two kids, Sydney, 12 and Samantha, 8. Previously, she has participated in church dramas and her high school production of Miracle Worker in the role of Helen Keller. Suzanne’s hobbies include singing and theatre. She’s not sure she can actually say what her favorite part of the rehearsals has been...I guess you’ll have to ask her yourself.

Allen Moore (Mr. Van Daan and Director)—is proud and quite emotional about this fulfillment of a dream. Allen is married with three kids: Isaac, 6, Rebekah, 3 and Rachel 1. Allen has been involved in theatrical productions since junior high (that’s what they used to call middle school for you young sprouts) having been in several productions in high school, college, and church. His current "job" is teaching drama at Carr Lane VPA Middle School in the St. Louis Public Schools.

Kristy Moore (Mr. Frank)—is a home-schooling mother of three. (She would have used "CEO of the Moore Family" but Suzanne got it first.) She is married to Allen and has three kids. Her best memory from rehearsals was the set building, team building games and Act I, Scene 2. Her least favorite memory from the process was the sunburn she got from the set-building day. Her hobby is acting and she has appeared in The Music Man in high school, many church plays and musicals, directed church children’s musicals and stage managed for A Christmas Carol.

Jordan Nichols (Mr. Dussel)—is the son of Greg and Lisa Nichols, is home-schooled and in the 7th grade. His hobbies include music and sports.

Paige Nichols (Voice of Anne Frank)—is a 6th grader and she, like her brother Jordan, is home-schooled. Paige has previous theatrical experience at The Learning Center and one of her hobbies is writing.

Melanie Williams (Margot Frank)— is home-schooled in the 10th grade. Her parents are Kenny and Dana Williams. Melanie’s hobbies include acting, dancing and shopping. She has been in other theatrical productions at church, Dayspring School of the Arts and with the Home-School Drama Group. Her favorite memory from rehearsals is getting to know the other actors and working with them.
