Allen Moore, Founder/President
My
name is Allen
Moore. I grew up in Springfield, MO, where I graduated from Hillcrest High
School in 1993. During my high school years, I was involved
heavily in drama, participating in The Music Man (Winthrop), The
Sound of Music (Admiral von Schreiber) and You Can't Take It With
You (Mr. Kirby) on the mainstage; Fiddler on the Roof and Mame
in the orchestra; and several one-act plays. I have also been
heavily involved in drama at church since a young age playing, among other
roles, Ebenezer Scrooge in The Gospel According to Scrooge.
After graduating from Hillcrest, I went on to Evangel University, also
in Springfield, where I majored in Speech and Drama education.
While at Evangel I participated in Fiddler on the Roof
(Mendel), Why Do We Laugh (Andrew, Age 64) and The Tempest
(Gonzalo) on stage as well as back stage experience in A Lion in Winter
(stage crew), A View From the Bridge (sound board operator), A Doll's House
(light and sound board operator), and Charley's
Aunt (stage crew). For my senior production, I directed The Gospel
According to Scrooge at King's Chapel Christian Center.
Since
graduating from Evangel, I have been heavily involved in drama in
several different areas. Through my six years of teaching I
have been involved in directing This is a
Test, Why Do We Laugh, The Fantasticks (also playing the
role of El Gallo), Rumors, Mame, Bah Ha Ha Humbug:
Four Satires on A Christmas Carol, The Tempest, Music
Man Jr., Fools and If It's Murder, It Must Be Monday. Through church
I have been involved in
productions of The Living Lord's
Supper (acting, directing and working with makeup on several
performances), Putting the Christ Back in Easter
(writing, acting and directing), Bethlehem Inn (directing), A Christmas Carol
(adapting, composing, acting and directing), Sounds of Christmas
(acting, set and lighting design), Who Will Call Him
King of Kings (acting and directing), Sure Foundations
(lighting design and operation), Joy Story (acting and lighting
design) and The Tale of Three Trees (lighting design and
operation). In addition, I have been involved in several sketches
and participated as a lighting technician in The Tin Ceiling's production
of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
My wife, Kristy and I currently attend West County Assembly of God with
our three
children Isaac, 8; Rebekah, 4; and Rachel, 2.
My DTC
productions include Mr. Van Daan in The Diary of Anne Frank and
Russ in What's Your Favorite Part... I have also directed
all of the productions at DTC.
